Elwood

In Loving Memory of Elwood,

With profound sadness, we mourn the loss of Elwood, our English Mastiff.  Elwood crossed the Rainbow Bridge on May 2, 2023, leaving behind unbelievable memories and love.

Elwood’s story began with us on March 7, 2020,  when we rescued him from Mastiff to Mutts Rescue and welcomed him into our life.   Despite challenges he faced, including being blind and suffering from malnourishment and severe paw wounds, Elwood’s sprit was unbroken.

During his time with us, Elwood tra nsformed our lives.  His unwavering affection and love brought immeasurable joy to our hearts.  He showered us with warmth, comfort and an abundance of tail wags.  Elwood after all was a “love bug.”

Elwood’s presence taught us valuable lessons about compa ssion, empathy and the power of unconditional love.   As our time with Elwood was too short, we are forever grateful for the memories we shared.  His gentle soul and loving nature will forever hold a special place in our hearts.  Every day, we find ourselv es missing him, longing for his comforting presence and the warmth of his companionship.  He will be forever cherished and deeply missed.

Amber
I believe it was around 2009 that I adopted these two Beautiful Ladies. I had only wanted one Mastiff and saw how attached these two were and asked to keep them together. Keeping them together was probably one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Every day I would look at them snuggling, so happy together and they brought a huge smile to my heart. They literally melted my heart w how much love they had for each other. Anna is lonely but adjusting well w/out her mother & lifelong best friend. These girls have been such a blessing in my life. Anna had to say goodbye to her Beautiful Mom June 4th, 2016. God Bless you Amber, RIP. See you soon Princess!! Love always, Mom & Anna..

Rascal
Rascal was one of those dogs tied out in a back lot. He came to us and was adopted by a family not committed to a lifetime pet. So back to us Rascal came. He was fostered by a volunteer and family member. 6 months later he was diagnosed with bone cancer. By then he was well loved and had a committed owner, his foster momma Jessica. Rascal was stoic until the very end 3 1/2 yrs after being diagnosed. He lived for his owner and is very much missed.

Greta
Thanks to NINA BUCK, Greta lived with dignity and happiness for the time she had left.

Mara
This beautiful girl was loved by many. She had an obstruction and surgery, that she could not recover from.
