Chia is a sweetheart with people and other dogs. She is even tolerant with cats. She is just a pup who needs a home and someone to snuggle with, she is a big cuddle bug. She loves taking walks and stays by your side. Slightly heartworm positive, we are using the 'slow-kill' method to take care of them. Nothing but a monthly preventative to give to her and she will be good as new. She enjoys playing with her foster brother, jumping and tumbling but she loves inching next to you on the couch to feel a friendly hand as she snoozes. She is create trained as well.
Here’s some words from Chia in foster care to tell you how she would make an awesome family pet for you. “My foster mom and dad have taught me many things while staying with them like sit, stay and down. They make me “sit and stay” for my food until they say ok. I don’t mind because I know I get to eat good food and I like learning new things. I’ve learned that outside is where I go to relieve myself and also I shouldn’t chase my foster kitty even though I just want to play. My foster parents have many names for me besides Chia. Sometimes mom calls me Chi-chi, Slobber Box and Moosh face and dad calls me Stinks, Squiggles, and Sweetheart. I don’t really slobber that much, just when I drink or eat. They say I walk like a queen on a leash, I think that’s good because I get treats when we go back inside. I was born a southern belle so I’m not liking all this white stuff that falls from the sky; it’s cold on my paws. Mom & Dad bought me a jacket to wear but I’d rather just do my business and get back inside and lie by the fireplace until summer rolls around again.”
Chia is a very sweet, loyal dog who just wants a home to call her own!
