HAPPY UPDATE!!! Oreo has found his forever home with a wonderful loving family. We appreciate you opening your hearts to Oreo and wish you a lifetime of health and joy with him!
A family was on their way to church and saw a dog standing in the ditch on the side of the road. They pulled the car over and called the dog to them. She seemed desperate to come to them, however, kept looking back into the weeds. The family tried over and over for her to get into the car but she kept looking back...so they followed her into the weeds and wouldn't you know it.... THERE WERE SIX PUPPIES THERE!!!
Bless her heart, she would not leave her babies even with help calling her to safety. This wonderful family took mama and all 6 pups to the local shelter. Unfortunately, they had no way of knowing that this was a high kill shelter when they left the dogs there. Our resuce saved mama and pups just hours before they ALL were to be destroyed. We thank that family for doing what they thought was best and now the mama and pups are safe in foster care looking for their forever homes.
Meet this sweet ball of beautiful black fur named Oreo. He is approximately 16 weeks old and weighs 18 lbs.
Mama dog looks to be a Lab mix weighing 40#. Oreo has a patch of white on his chest and we think dad may have been a Schipperke or Border Collie but we can not be sure what the breed types of the puppies are. He is just as sweet as can be and a typical loving puppy. He loves to romp and play and give puppy kisses. Won't you please consider taking this sweet ball of fur home to love and watch grow as a part of your family?
OREO IS BEING FOSTERED IN CHAMBERSBURG, PA AND MUST BE PICKED UP AT THAT LOCATION. A home visit will be required before adoption is approved.
The puppy's mother is on our site as well and is in need of a loving home. Her name is Bella, won't you please take a look at her as well?
