Naples is a very sweet, 9yo lady that simply wants to love and be loved. She stays close whether you are moving around in the house or going on a walk outside. Naples gets ocassional bursts of energy, and uses them to run to you or with you, but doesn't play with toys or fetch, she's too distinguished to participate in such activities. Naples has done well with house-training; however, after living in a garage most of her life, she does have accidents when she is in the basement or on our front porch (both have concrete floors). She is great with other dogs and cats and loves all people. She will need a home that can provide a safe place when there are storms as she has a great fear of them and other loud noises...this may be exaggerated by her slow loss of sight. She has recovered well from cherry-eye surgery, but appears to still have problems with changes in floor or shadows. She does show signs of mild separation anxiety, so also needs a "safe" area when you are gone for long periods of time. Despite her age, she is not on any medications or joint supplements since she gets around just fine, even on stairs. I hope you let Naples love you for her golden years!

Our rescue policy requires the following: *All references must be checked before any visitation of the dog is permintted at the foster home. *A visit to the applicant's home when all members are present. *Homes with small children must have a fenced yard. *Any dog(s) in the applicant's home must have an introductory meeting with the rescue dog being applied for before any adoption can be completed.
