Little Bits got her name for being the smallest in the litter and delivered a day later than the others. Momma dog (Sadie on our website) was transported from the shelter to the rescues vet to be spayed. The night she was scheduled to be spayed she suddenly delivered 3 happy healthy pups. This was a surprise to everyone. Lucky for her she was already in rescue or these little guys would have been euthanized. Little Bits is the smallest puppy in the photos with the white on her chest and the short coat. Dont let her size fool you - Shes a beefcake! This is probably the happiest, most people interested puppy in the group. She has a serious tailwag already. They are weaning from momma right now and are started on a wet/dry food schedule already. They will be ready to go after the 4th of July. They are all being housebroken and are quick learners. All puppies under 6 months of age are adopted on a "foster to adopt" contract meaning that you will be required to leave a deposit when taking the puppy. The refund will be given back upon proof of spay/neuter at appropriate time. At that time the puppy will legally become your dog. Until then it is the property of MTM dog rescue. Important notes before applying. Approved adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina and Kentucky. You must be at least 21 years of age to apply and legally sign our contract for adoption. Applications must be completed by the homeowner. We do not adopt giant breed dogs to renters. If you are renting, and you are applying to adopt a dog that is not a giant breed, permission to adopt an animal must be obtained from the landlord or property owner. We do not adopt giant breed dogs to homes with children under 6 years of age. Homes with children should have a fenced yard. Applications will be denied if anyone residing in the household has a record indicating drug/alcohol abuse, theft, or violence. Homes with highly varnished floors must have non-slip area rugs or mats wherever your animal walks or rests frequently.
To ensure proper house training and socialization, puppies will only be adopted to homes where an adult will not be away more than an hour per day, per month of age of the puppy, up to 6 months.
