Reese is a sweetheart of a girl. Her owner turned her over to rescue because her and her sister were beginning to fight. She got along with other dogs in the home so if she will have to meet the other dogs in her new home before adoption. 5/7/2012 From Reese’s foster family: Reese has really come out of her shell since coming to our home. When she first arrived she had her tail under her all the time - you almost didn’t know she had a tail – and she wouldn’t eat. Now, she is the matriarch of the little clan of dogs at our place! She gets along very well with our boxer mix. They lick each other’s faces and interchange bowls while eating. When new dogs are introduced it takes a bit for Reese to warm up, as it does with us humans sometimes! Once she is certain this is a dog that is okay to be around her people she relaxes. She is currently being the referee for our boxer and the other foster, Phoebe, the Great Dane pup! When the young ones get too rowdy, Miss Reese lets out a bark to get them in line! Reese is shy of men, but gets over that quickly because when Kevin is home – she has eyes only for him! She loves ear scratches and chin rubs. She likes to drink a lot, but does not have accidents in the house. She’s not had even one. She’s a good girl when it comes to not getting on the furniture and she absolutely do not chew or destroy anything. She is just a really good, mellow girl. Reese is becoming more and more comfortable here and has started barking when there is a knock on the door or when someone she doesn’t recognize comes around. I’d love to see her get into her forever home soon because this is a GREAT dog with so much potential for a long and happy life with her people.
