Neapolitan Mastiff : : Male (neutered) : : Young : : X-Large Learn more about the Neapolitan Mastiff.
This big beautiful boy is young and playful. He is in astonishingly good health and needs a family to call his own. In addition to his beauty, he is as smart as they come and loves balls and playmates. Housebroken and well mannered, he is neautered and up-to-date on vaccines and tested heart worm negative. Kingston has seperation anxiety, so whenever his adopter leaves the home, he needs to be put in a safe, outdoor kennel with shelter. Fostered in Springfield, VA.
EMAIL FROM THE FOSTER: I live in a townhouse and have two Mastiffs of my own. Kingston is a great dog. I havent had him that long but from what I have seen so far he has an excellent temperment. I took him to the vet yesterday to be heartworm tested, and update his boosters, etc. No muzzle needed, no agression. He is a very big boy. He came in about 129 lbs but looks like an easy 150 lbs. He is a massive dog in size. When he gets excited he slobbers so I hope that doesnt bother you. You cant have a Mastiff and not love drool. :-) He is very smart for a big dog. My solution to the slobber problem was to teach him to "get the towel" which I hang on the side of the crate. He then retrieves the towel and brings it to me for a reward but at the same time is cleaning up his own drool. He learned that in about 5 minutes! He is eager to please. He is a happy dog as well.
We are trying to figure out why some other dogs dont like him when he likes them so much. He is a little rude (in dog language) when meeting others but freindly enough not to get into a fight. Anyways, over all he is checking out fine. Just needs some fine tuning.
