This handsome boy is turning out to be quiet the clown! Buddha was rescued from a hoarding situation in West Virginia in Oct. 2010. He is approximately 2 years old (neutered) and has a clean bill of health including all UTD vaccines, and a negative heartworm test. The Mastiff in him makes him a great coach potato, perfect for all those cold winter nights while watching TV together. The boxer in him gives him a great level of energy when you want play ball in the backyard. If you are considering adding a new addition to your family, why not give Buddha a forever home? Buddha is a big boy! Parents with small children should be mindful of his size when they are applying for him. Though he is a gentle giant and quiet mellow, he might knock over small children by just turning around. He has been tested with older children and goes everywhere he is lead. Previous experience with large breeds preferred. Buddha is being fostered in Springfield, VA 15 miles outside of Washington, DC. He is currently living with 2 other Mastiffs. ONE WEEK UPDATE: Buddha is adjusting really well. He has gone from an emotional wreck to trotting around with a little bounce in his step. He is living with two spayed females in the house. The older female is an alpha and Buddha has displayed a little bit of an alpha personality as well. They get along fine but Buddha would be best (especially if you plan to leave him loose in your house during times when you are gone) to be placed with another submissive female. He LOVES the other 2 year old he is with. They play together like puppies. I have 100% confidence in him with her. He will most likely not be a dog park dog. Though if exposed properly could do well in a doggy daycare situation with other dogs of matched personalities and temperments.
