Darling little Silvia is much more than her small size... she is a cell dog!!! She has been to prison and working with an inmate trainer to learn housebreaking, crate training, socialization and basic obedience skills. Silvia is such a wonderful girl.. after her own litter of pups were weaned and adopted out, there was an orphaned litter that she mothered for another 8 weeks. She became known as little Mama... she is as sweet and gentle and loving as you could ever get!
Update --- this little girl could be considered the perfect dog. She's so easy and would be ideal even for a first time dog owner! We list her as a lab mix only because we have NO clue what she is except a TOTAL LOVE!! NEWEST UPDATE FROM HER FOSTER; What I would add to the webpage is how well mannered Silvia is. For the most part, she sits quietly on the couch and comes up for a kiss or a snuggle once in a while. She curls up on the foot of the bed and is quiet as a mouse all night. She stands up and begs for her food, really cute. She is not much of a barker. So far, she hasn't touched a thing that didn't belong to the dogs (unlike certain other labs I won't name). She would be a wonderful companion for anyone, but she would really be great for an older person with a fenced yard. She doesn't jump on people and she doesn't get underfoot. If I am cooking, she lays quietly on the kitchen floor, so she wouldn't be tripping anyone. She is a real easy keeper, and she would also be fine in an apartment if the person likes to walk and could walk her at least three times a day. She LOVES to go for walks, and goes just wild when you show her the leash. That's really about all I can see at this point. She is a great dog, would make a great first dog, and could really adapt to almost any setting. I wouldn't recommend really young kids. She's a little hand shy. I think maybe somebody has hit her in the head. Don't understand that with this sweet dog, but there it is. There are some bad people out there who take out their anger on those who can't defend themselves.
