English Mastiff (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : X-Large
HEADLINER: Knox is the definition of a gentle giant. The only way he could be sweeter is if he had an actual butterfly riding on his nose. Which he would absolutely love and allow. His head is the size of a basketball, his paws are huge and at 182 pounds he’s the biggest lap dog you’re likely to meet. Oh, and be prepared for the lean because you’ll get all of him. HISTORY: Knox came from a home where he was a loved part of the family; unfortunately, the family’s circumstances changed and they are no longer able to keep him. As soon as you meet this beautiful boy you will know he was well loved. PERSONALITY: Knox is friendly and sociable with both humans and animals. He knows sit, down and shake and is so eager to please. He is easy-going and comfortable with dogs of all sizes. He lived with another mastiff and his foster home has five dogs ranging from 15 to 150 pounds. He’s fine with cats and comes when called. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: hanging out, throwing slobber around, getting loved on MEDICAL ISSUES: Has some skin allergies. On steroids to calm the itching. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: Knox would be happy in a home where he’s getting love and attention. He’s happy to follow his human around while they do indoor or outdoor chores and he’s just as happy to relax on the couch with them. Knox is a very big boy so a home with small children or a frail or elderly adult would not be recommended. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Important notes before applying.
