RUDY IS LOCATED IN EGG HARBOR, NJ.

Rudy is a beautiful 2 year old merle female English Bulldog. She came to MTM from a puppy mill in Ohio. She is spayed, housetrained and crate trained.

Likes: Rudy LOVES toys, stealing blankets, shoes, and car rides.

Dislikes: None yet!

Personality: Rudy is very friendly and independent. She is mellow, playful and quiet. She
seldom barks, grunts or snores. When she is not wrestling with her big brother, she is very
gentle and calm. Don’t let her cute looks fool you… Rudy does have a feisty side.

Temperament: Rudy is very sweet and has a gentle disposition. She is timid and shy at first but
warms up to people pretty quickly. She has not shown any signs of food aggression or separation anxiety.

Energy level: Rudy is a typical bulldog. She gets spurts of energy and then crashes.

Favorite activities: Playing with her toys and big brother, eating and napping.

Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?: With slow introductions, Rudy has been great with
everyone she has met. She lives with 2 Very Large foster brothers. She gets along well with
them. It took about a week for her to get comfortable with their size. When playing, Rudy can
be a little rough. Cats unknown.

Not good with: Overall, Rudy is adjusting to her freedom and new environment. She will, on
occasion, get startled by loud noises or unexpected touches. When uncertain or scared she will
lower her head or flatten her body to the ground.

Housetrained: Yes, Rudy is housetrained. She is trained to go to the bathroom outside in the
yard. She will go outside on command. If her new home does not have a backyard, she might
need some patience and training to learn how to go to the bathroom on walks.

Crate trained: Yes! Rudy likes her crate and will go in it on her own. She stays in the crate
while her foster mom is working and sleeps throughout the night.

Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence)? Not necessarily.

Walks well on a leash? Considering where she came from, Rudy has been doing great walking
with her harness and leash. With continued practice and encouragement she should be a pro. She
has not mastered going up and down large flights of steps but will go up and down a few steps to go outside.

Challenges: She is getting more comfortable with her surroundings. She is very inquisitive. She
just needs to be given the opportunity to explore and experience new things at her own pace.

Any Medical issues? Rudy has a sensitive stomach. She is eating Natural Balance Bison and
Sweet Potato and doing fantastic. It is recommended that she be on a daily probiotic and joint
supplement to help with her hips and legs. She was spayed on December 27th and recovered well.  Initially, Rudy was urinating frequently. However, Rudy’s bladder issues are resolving since she has been spayed, and more comfortable in her new environment.

What would be the best kind of home? Rudy is easy to please and deserves a home
surrounded by love and affection. She would not mind being your one and only or sharing the
spotlight with other furry siblings. Rudy can be rambunctious and has no boundaries when
playing. She would thrive in a household with a submissive male or female canine that can teach
her how to play and tolerate her crazy antics. She would be a wonderful addition to any family
who is looking for a pet guaranteed to make you smile. If you are looking for a quiet
companion who does not need a lot of exercise, Rudy is your girl! Potential adopters should be
knowledgeable about the breed.
