LEILA aka SCOOBY DEE IS LOCATED IN MARTINSBURG, WV. Leila (Lee-la but with one “i”) : The fun play on a cartoon character’s name (Futurama) Likes: Loves any time that you are able to spend with her, chew toys, and treats. She seems to be fine (maybe even enjoy) when she’s left by herself, in her own space. Dislikes: Red Ryder BB Guns (eye mean?, c’mon). Cautious around men at first, but (so far) comes around quickly and once she knows the person (male). Note: She has yet to not come to like everyone she’s met, she is just weary of some men at first. Does not “love” car rides, but does ok with them. (This may be because she’s expecting to be left somewhere else). Name your car or truck the Jolly Roger or the Black Pearl and she may change her “view”! Personality: Well tempered, loves to snuggle up to you on a couch and watch tv…. thinks she’s a lap dog, so be prepared to be cuddled! Temperament: Wonderful. Complete love bug. Sometimes she forgets her size, but just wants to accept any attention you're willing to give. Energy level: Mid to high energy level when prompted, or playing. She seems to calm down when requested, and responds pretty well to commands. When you’re laying on the couch or floor, she wants to be a couch potato too! Favorite activities: Walking/running/playing outside, giving kisses (only when requested) and being a pirate! Not good with: Chickens… no chickens will ever commandeer or take over your pirate ship, or loot your booty. She is a stone cold chicken assassin… one eye, one snatch, one kill. Grammar: struggles crossing “t’s” and dotting “i’s” and lower case “j’s” Housetrained: Yes. Perfect young lady with regard to housetraining… no accidents to date, not destructive. Crate trained: She has not been in a crate with her foster; she has run of the basement with a couch when owners are not home. She's not destructive, no accidents, and is a perfectly mannered young lady! Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence)? A fenced in yard would be required if left unsupervised outside…or if chickens are in the high seas… Walks well on a leash? Yes. Pulls some when she gets excited, but responds well to commands. Challenges: Should not drive a car or vehicle… (She has a blind spot on her left side). Can’t enjoy 3D movies/glasses from the late 1990’s… hasn’t watched “Game of Thrones” yet ... Can’t read… has been unlucky in love… and has not learned all of the Pirate jargon yet… (has “Raarrwwf“ down…that’s it). Any Medical issues? Eye was removed, but not biopsied… Stomach was stapled, and she was fixed. No apparent or other known medical issues. What would be the best kind of home? Someone looking for a best friend and who can “see” her for the great dog that she is. Leila truly deserves a home where she can be appreciated. She will make someone VERY happy by sharing her joy.
