Are you looking for a gorgeous redhead as your companion? Well, Rena has a stunning appearance and she's the canine friend anyone would be lucky to have.
Rena was picked up as a stray and was unclaimed at an Indiana shelter. A kind shelter volunteer who realized how sweet she is begged for a rescue to save her. Rena's foster mom and Gentle Jake's knew she deserved a chance to be healthy again and with a new start in life.
Rena had severe ear infections, which have been treated, and was also treated for heartworm.
Her foster mom describes her as a velcro kind of hound who wants to be wherever her human is. While it's unknown if she had ever been inside a home before, Rena adjusted well to laying on couches, beds and house training.

Rena is crate trained and enjoys the company of other dogs. She would do well in a home with another playful pup, but it's not absolutely necessary.  She also enjoys car rides and walks!
She expresses her displeasure when her people leave her for work by using her voice. :)  She's also not a fan of long flights of steps - a few steps are ok, but she avoids long flights.
Cats are likely not going to be compatible house mates for Rena as she will chase. Older children (12+ years) who are respectful and affectionate with Rena would be acceptable.
Rena is current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention and will be spayed prior to adoption.

Transportation to approved home can be arranged.
