JACK aka JACQUES IS LOCATED IN WALNUTPORT, PA.

Jack aka Jacques. Jacques Cousteau is a beautiful boy who came to MTM from a puppy mill with hip dysplasia in both back hips as well as a torn meniscus and ACL issues. ALL of those issues have been fixed Jack has healed well! He spends more and more time up and moving and is a loving soul. If you are looking for a sweet boy who you have the time and patience to help grow into the dog he is meant to be, then please take a look at Jacques (he loves his regal names!).

Likes: Jacques loves treats and his yummy satin balls. He is a good eater and is still gaining some weight but needs to be kept between 135 -140 lbs.

Dislikes: He doesn't care for loud people. He needs a home with a woman who will be his main caregiver. Men are fine, but they need to be very patient and loving. He's not a huge fan of doorways and leashes (this can be something to work on in a fenced in yard once he is settled).

Personality: He is almost 3 years old and finally learning to be a dog. He enjoys mouth boxing with his foster sister and brother, napping on the living room floor with the pack, and just hanging out.

Temperament: Jack is quiet, timid, and still learning to just enjoy being a dog.

Energy level: Low to medium - not overly active.

Favorite activities: Hanging out with the pack and being loved on.

Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?: Yes, and he is fine with the 4 and 6 year old grandkids that visit him as well.

Not good with: (Cats? Dogs? Strangers? Men? Kids?) Men, but will warm up to them if they show him patience and love.

Housetrained: Needs a doggie door or a regular schedule.

Crate trained: Yes

Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence)? Must have a solid fenced in yard. This is non-negotiable.

Walks well on a leash? No - something to be worked on since he's not a fan of the leash.

Challenges: Trust, knowing he is safe and loved.

Any Medical issues? Jack was born with hip dysplasia in both back legs. He was in real pain when he arrived at his foster home and this may have led to his fear of doors or anyone walking behind him. Since his surgeries he is much more confident in himself but still needs more time and patience to learn to be a beautiful dog.

What would be the best kind of home? A retired or work from home family who will have the time and patience to keep him moving forward. He definitely needs a K9 sister or brother to play with. He can play with young dogs as his foster sister is 100lbs at 8 months and they enjoy a good romp.
