Howdy ya'll! My name is Tiny and I hail from the great state of Texas! It has taken me a while to get here, but I am so glad Mastiffs to Mutts brought me up north. Humans might describe me as the strong silent type, but just you wait until I hear some sirens go by...I'll sing like I belong at the Grammy's!

My life hasn't always been easy, but I don't let that get me down! I used to be a greeter at a shopping center but I got fired when I went in to do my weekly treat shopping...I just wanted those treat-os! After I was fired, I spent some time in a shelter down in the lone star state before MTM showed up to save me from the Texas heat.

In March, I went on the ride of a lifetime and ended up in Northern Virginia 3 days later. I got to travel with 18 different families and even got to have some slumber pawties! Did you guys know you can go to bed whenever you want at a slumber pawty?! All of my travel partners said I was a VERY good boy and a bundle of love...and I would say the same.

I am absolutely lovin' life at my current foster home! I get a soft bed, good food, and all the love and attention I deserve. I don't think I will need to get another job as a shopping center greeter to get treats anymore! During the day I spend my time meandering through the oak trees waiting for my nemesis: SQUIRREL to reveal their hiding spot...I know it's someplace in the trees! If only I could climb up there to tell him that I just want to be friends!

I have been loving all the time I spend with my human foster sisters and my doggo foster pups. My foster pawrents are great and I am so grateful for them. I do have some medical issues (listed below) but my foster mom said that won't stop me from finding the perfect forever home. My name might be Tiny but I am full of love, snuggles, and squirrel protection just waiting for the right family to love me as much as I will love them.

XOXO Tiny the Dog

Likes:  People big and small, car rides, sirens, and walks around the block.

Dislikes: Nothing discovered…

Personality: Loving, laid back, observant, and a good listener when not chasing squirrels.

Temperament: Fine with ear cleaning, elbow massages and seems fine with nail handling.  He gets anxious at the vet, but not aggressive.

Energy level: Laid back but still likes to play by himself or with his foster pups.

Favorite activities: Howling to the sirens, going on walks, lounging by the fireplace.

Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?: Good with dogs and kids; cats unknown.

Not good with: (Cats? Dogs? Strangers? Men? Kids?) Cats doubtful, due to prey drive.

Housetrained: Yes!

Crate trained: Yes!

Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence)? A physical fence is recommended for Tiny since his prey drive is strong.
Walks well on a leash? Tiny walks right by your side when wearing a harness but has a strong prey drive for deer, fox, and squirrels.  The leash holder should always have their head on a swivel to redirect when required.  He is strong when he moves into hunter mode.

Challenges: He considers himself a master chef so we are working on his counter surfing and eating off the table.

Any Medical issues? Elbow and hip calluses but he loves a good moisturizing session.  Recent X-rays revealed that Tiny has a pellet inside him along with a previous hip injury that was left to heal on its own.  He has learned to walk with his injury just fine but steps should be avoided.

What would be the best kind of home?  Tiny should be in a one level home with limited steps to go outside due to his old injury. His home should have a physical fence due to his strong prey drive.  He is an excellent dog around every person he meets and is very careful with children.  Tiny will be fine in a single or multi-dog household.  His number one focus will be you.

TINY IS BEING FOSTERED IN MANASSAS, VA.
