Daphne is a fun-loving girl, ready to roll around in the yard and play, but always willing to snuggle up with you on the couch too. She is a gentle girl who is great with other dogs and happy to see any human who can pet her. Miss Daphne does great on walks without the need for correction. She is house and crate trained, ready to become a part of your family. She sleeps through the night in the crate or will gladly take up half of the bed if invited. Daphne is fully vetted and ready to meet you! Likes: Attempting to be a lap dog, sunbathing, chewing on sticks, playing with other dogs, and napping. Dislikes: Haven’t found anything yet. Personality: Goofy and shy at times, playful in bursts, loving, and always willing to give you a head hug. Temperament: Easy going and willing to allow you to wipe paws and apply medication to her ears without any resistance. No food issues: takes treats gently, and does not worry about any interactions with her bowl when she is eating. Energy level: Daphne is pretty relaxed, energy-wise. She loves to run the yard in the morning and will certainly play but does not need a lot of wearing down. She does well on walks and follows them up with sloppy drinks of water and a nap. Favorite activities: Playing with other dogs, carrying around sticks, chewing on toys and bones. Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?: She is great with other dogs and all humans she has met. She has not been cat tested, but shows no signs of prey drive and doesn’t worry about birds or squirrels in the yard. Not good with: Haven’t found anything yet. Housetrained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence)? Currently lives in a home with a fenced in yard and does great with it. Walks well on a leash? Yes Challenges: Daphne’s nose will occasionally lead her to want to check out what is on the counter… She is tall enough to see it all and access food items that are left unattended, so she will sometimes need to be redirected. Any Medical issues? No known medical issues. What would be the best kind of home? Daphne would be a great dog in a house with other dogs of any energy level (she currently lives with an energetic male and a senior female) and could also thrive as the solo pup with all of your attention. She will take to training well as she is food motivated and seeks your approval. This pup will be a head turner that will fill the hearts of everyone that meets her!
