Addie is a 100lb weighted blanket/4ft long cat that loves to rub on legs/3 year old who plays ball in the house. Addie is also known as a Great Dane. Likes: Squeaky toys, cuddles, and her humans. Dislikes: Being alone. Personality: Affectionate, playful, and comical! Temperament: Addie falls in love with her humans very quickly. She is the definition of a velcro dog and can be jealous if another family pet gets showered with love. She knows basics commands and doesn't mind having her paws wiped or wearing sweaters. She rides well in a car. She is working on taking treats nicely. Energy level: She gets zoomies after her morning potty break and loves to play ball in the house. She gets SO excited when her people come home (from the store or just the mailbox). The rest of Addie's day is spent napping or trying to get on someone's lap to nap. Favorite activities: Cuddling, eating and napping. Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?: She doesn't bother with cats unless they are getting attention - then she runs them off. She is ok with dogs but can get jealous and let them know she thinks they should back up. She loves kids but is not gentle or considerate when she's excited. Children 12+ would be best. Not good with: Sharing attention with other pets and being left alone Housetrained: Yes Crate trained: Unknown Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence)? Addie can run, and she runs FAST so a fenced yard is great. However, Addie is a girl on a potty mission - out, business, sniff, more business, back in the house to nap. She is currently in a non-fenced yard walking on a 25ft leash and is excellent. Walks well on a leash? Yes, but a 5ft leash is very short for her long stride. Challenges: Addie will resource guard her humans. She will "communicate" with a snarl. Addie doesn't like when her humans leave. She will look out every window and visit every door and bark. She will settle after a while. Note - she has not been left alone for more than 90 minutes. Any Medical issues? A little underweight. What would be the best kind of home? Addie would do well in a home with someone who is home all day with older (durable) children. She would do ok with another calm/non-reactive dog or could be the only dog. Addie is being fostered in McDonald, PA. Our rescue policy requires the following:
