About Wrinkles (Aybar)

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Adoption Fee: 450.00
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black
  • Current Size: 81 Pounds
  • Current Age: 6 Years 2 Months (best estimate)

Brief description: Wrinkles is an outgoing and playful pup. She is a devoted velcro dog to her human of choice but loves everyone.

Likes: loves toys, belly and face rubs. Loves car rides and loves short walks

Dislikes: other dominant dogs, vacuums and vegetables

Personality: She is a playful velcro dog that can be stubborn but will listen well to her Alpha human. She doesn't listen as well to her other humans. She does need to learn some manners as she will paw and jump on you for attention

Temperament:  She goes to work with her foster human and loves to greet everyone. She does well for baths and nail trims. Ears are another story. She is a dream on a leash and very easy to control. She takes meds well it it's hidden in bread!

Energy level: She is young and playful but it is in small spurts. She is being treated for heartworm disease so her activity has to be limited

Favorite activities: playing with squeaky toys or laying with foster mom

Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?: takes a few weeks of 'leave it' training but does fine with confident cats who will ignore her. She does fine after a few weeks with submissive dogs but takes longer time to be ok with dominant dogs. We have seen her growl and lunge at them for awhile but has gotten to a point where they mostly ignore each other

Not good with:  Dominant dogs, unconfident cats, kids under 10. She can play rough and jumps up on people so older kids would be best. Preferably no kids. She may air-snap if startled-awake.

Housetrained: yes.

Crate trained: yes, but doesn't like to be alone so barks and cries for awhile and then settles down

Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence)? Yes

Walks well on a leash? Yes very good

Challenges: Mouths in play. Would benefit with obedience training. Doesn't like to be bothered if sleeping. Listens better to Alpha human. Jumps up and paws

Any Medical issues?  Updated 7/10.  Treated for heartworms. Tested negative!!!Heartworm positive. Gets a rash between her mammary glands from moisture

What would be the best kind of home?  No kids. Submissive dogs only. Fenced in yard. Someone home with her a lot. Willing to take to obedience training and work with her

Wrinkles is being fostered in Butler, PA.
