Brief description:
Obie is the epitome of a Gentle Giant! He is house trained, will use a doggy door, crate trained and walks decent with a no pull harness. His time in a puppy mill was not kind to him but he is working hard to make up for lost time.

Likes: EVERYTHING! He really likes human interaction & touch.

Dislikes: Haven't found anything he really dislikes yet.

Personality: Obie is as sweet as they come. He wants to learn to play but is still a little unsure. He would be a lap dog if given half a chance.

Temperament: Obie has yet to disagree with anything. He has allowed his ears, chin, nose & jowls to be cleaned daily with no issues. He was even pretty good for a bath!

Energy level: His energy level is pretty low. He has enough git-up-and-go for short walks throughout the day!

Favorite activities: Obie's favorite activities are eating, being petted, snuggling and sleeping.

Good with cats, dogs, and kids over 6?: Obie has been great with the dogs and kids he has met. He has not seen a cat yet.

Not good with: He has not been easy to get in the car but he does fine once he is in.

Housetrained: Absolutely

Crate trained: Yes

Challenges: Obie is still skinny and should gain more weight. He would do best with non slip flooring such as carpet or textured vinyl.

Any Medical issues? Obie has exhibited some vision challenges. It has improved somewhat from day 1 but he would do best in a home that does not rearrange the furniture.

What would be the best kind of home? Obie would thrive in a home with another happy dog and maybe a few kids too! He may do best in a home with few to no stairs also.

Obie is being fostered in West Lafayette, OH.
