Nautica is a female Cane Corso Mastiff that is full of energy and looking for a great place to call home!

Likes: Being petted, played with and being by your side. She loves car rides.

Dislikes: Being alone

Personality: An active and playful dog. Nautica is very smart and easy to train as she wants to please you all the time. It only took her 4 days to learn her name and respond to it when we call her.   She is also motivated so she will do anything you ask her. She is cautious of men but warms up quickly. She is very obedient and knows her basic commands.

Temperament: She is eager to please and does get very excited. Has high energy and loves to play. Does not mind being wiped down or brushed. She shares her toys and allows food and toys to be taken from her. She is good with kids over 6, dogs and cats. During down time she lies down and sleeps in her crate. She can stay alone and appears to enjoy her time alone in the crate.

Energy level: she has short bursts of high energy level and is active for a short amount of time and then she lies down and falls asleep.

Favorite activities: Being close to her person. She does love car rides but does not like to be outside without you. She loves to go for walks and is learning to walk on a leash.

Good with cats, dogs, and kids over 6?: Good with kids over 6, good with cats and dogs

Not good with: Nautica is learning to walk on the leash and not jump on you. She can get really excited and jumps with joy onto you- this should improve with continued training and when she understands this will happen on a regular occurrence.

Housetrained: yes, she vocalizes and stands by the door when she needs to go out.

Crate trained: Yes, walks to the crate if you tell her to “go home”

Challenges: She is getting used to walking on the leash and understanding that jumping is not okay.

Any Medical issues? No known medical issues

Energy level: High when she is outside. Overall a pretty active dog.

Favorite activities: Car rides and people.

The best home for Nautica will be one that can provide daily outdoor stimulation and exercise include regular walks. A fenced yard would be great so she can play and another dog sibling would be wonderful for companionship, learning the ropes and playing!

Fostered in Ellicot City, MD.
