English Mastiff : : Male (neutered)
Douglas is a neutered, soon to be 3-year-old puppy. He is an easy-going boy who is house trained and crate trained. He sleeps through the night and is not destructive when left alone in the house. He came to us all the way from Texas so he’s no stranger to riding in the car. He is healthy, young and ready to be your new best friend.
Likes: sticks, balls, water, cuddling, treats
Dislikes: unfamiliar sounds such as beeping or loud noises.
Personality: nervous at first but he quickly turns into a loving playful boy. Good with dogs if properly introduced.
Temperament: Douglas likes to take things slow until he is comfortable. He needs his people around him for support when in unfamiliar places such as the vet. He may benefit from a muzzle in unfamiliar places without his people. When he is comfortable he will stand to have his nails trimmed, his mouth/eyes wiped and/or ears cleaned.
Energy level: Dougie loves to lounge around the house, lay on his bed but also enjoys short play times. He walks well on a leash. He will zoom around the yard a few times chasing the ball then will patiently wait to go lay back down.
Favorite activities: snacking, napping, playing fetch, getting a bath/playing in the water
Not good with: NO cats or children
House trained: Absolutely
Crate trained: He loves the crate!
Challenges: Douglas needs someone who has patience. He needs someone who will allow him to get use to new things at his own pace. Once he is comfortable he is at your hip, ready for anything.
Any Medical issues? Doug suffers from acne on his chin, puberty is hard on everyone!
Douglas needs a patient owner with no cats or children. Fostered in Millsboro, DE. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our funds are used for rescuing the dogs. Our rescue policy requires the following:
