Crue is super outgoing and full of playful puppy energy. He is housebroken but doesn’t have a lot of commands under his belt yet. Since he’s very treat and toy motivated he should pick things up quick. Crue is happy to sleep through the night at the foot of the bed or on a doggy bed (outside of his crate) without any issues or stirring.His foster isworking on crate training and leash manners but so far Crue mostly naps if left alone not in his crate
A home with another playful dog (he loves dogs!) or active owner would be ideal. Currently, Crue is living with two cats but his curiosity is resulting in him starting to chase them as he becomes comfortable.He loves kids but older ones would be better.
Likes: Rubs, snacks, toys, licking faces, resting on your feet.
Dislikes: He’s learning to adjust to his crate but is not a fan just yet. His adopter will need to continue crate training.
Personality: Very quickly affectionate towards people and dogs. Crue is super happy and vibrant. He’s so excited to play and explore. He will bring toys and his food bowl to you.
Temperament: Crue easily takes pills with a dollop of wet food on top. He doesn’t mind having his ears cleaned and allows for handling all over. He does not have any sensitive areas which he is reactive about. He’s excited to eat (hungry growing pup!) but is not food or toy aggressive.
Energy level: High. He’s full of puppy energy but likes napping as much as he likes playing.
Favorite activities: A good toy chase, tug of war, licking your face, and going for walks- he’s getting better with his leash manners!
Good with cats, dogs, and kids over 6?: Great with dogs- he loves to play and has been excited to meet every dog along his MTM journey. He would probably be better with a dog over 20LB because he’s still realizing his own size. He chases so he should go to a cat free home. He’s loves kids and would enjoy a kiddo to share a bed with at night. The vacuum doesn’t scare him- he follows it interested but a bit cautious but doesn’t bark at is or hide.
Not good with: Crates- crate training is still in progress but so far, he’s not a fan. He generally naps when left uncrated and hasn’t been destructive if left out unattended (cameras on him.)
Housetrained: He’s housebroken and goes potty outside.
Crate trained: Work in progress.
Challenges: Just working through general puppy energy and training.
Any Medical issues? None.
What would be the best kind of home? Crue would be best in a lively household with an active owner or another dog to play with. He’s very affectionate so someone who doesn’t mind a lot of wet kisses would be best. A yard so he can run off some energy would be great! Due to his breed he will not be placed with other same sex bully breeds.

We will not adopt a giant breed dog to homes where the dog will have access to highly varnished hardwood steps inside the home. Any inside steps to which the dog(s) have access, must have carpeting, securely fixed stair treads, or a non-skid surface. We encourage you to remediate potential safety issues while your application is under review, prior to the home visit.
Applications for giant breed dogs must be submitted by the property owner.
Homes with children under 6 years of age will not be approved for adoption.
Homes with children should have a fenced yard.
Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. Veterinary records will be checked.
All references must be checked before any visitation of the dog is permitted at the foster home.
All family members must be present during the home visit to the applicant's home.
Any dog(s) in the applicant's home must have an introductory meeting with the rescue dog being considered, before any adoption can be completed.
Homes with intact dogs will not be approved for adoption. Exceptions to this policy can be found on the Adoptable Dog Page.
Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy:
Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed.

The intact dog is a working member of a law enforcement, or search and rescue/recovery team.
The intact dog is registered under the auspices of the American Kennel Club and is actively being shown.
A veterinarian has determined the sterilization procedure would harm the intact dog.
We believe in Force Free Training Methods and do not approve of methods or devices using pain or force to control the dog, or to deter undesirable behavior.

**Puppy Adoption Policy**
To ensure proper house training and socialization, puppies will only be adopted to homes where an adult will not be away more than an hour per day, per month of age of the puppy, up to 6 months.
Certain large-breed dogs should not be sterilized prior to 12 - 18 months of age. If you adopt an intact puppy, you will sign an adoption contract agreeing to have the dog sterilized at your expense at the time your veterinarian recommends.
Proof of sterilization must be provided to Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue as soon as the procedure is completed. If the puppy is not sterilized as required, Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue reserves the right to claim legal ownership of the dog.
