Bullmastiff : : Male (neutered) Learn more about the Bullmastiff.
Buckey is a 130-pound Easy Going Bull Mastiff. He enjoys sleeping, laying around and loves being with people. Likes: Practically everything and everyone, loves pig hooves and will bring them into the house if you don't catch him (they are so stinky). We have 5 cats, 2 other dogs in his foster home (one small and one medium) He loves blankets, lots of blankets! Belly rubs are his favorite. Dislikes: He can be a picky eater- however he loves any meat flavored treats. Personality: Laidback, think California beach bum! Temperament: Friendly Energy level: Low, he does love walks but loves his sleep Favorite activities: Sleeping, belly rubs, interacting with his people. Exploring when he goes for walks Not good with: vocalizes at the cats with no intent to harm (we have 5 in his current foster home) Housetrained: Yes Crate trained: yes, loves his crate with lots of blankets Challenges: walking him can be challenging as he does not like to stay on sidewalks and marks everywhere (he will be neutered soon) Any Medical issues? Buckey had squamous cell carcinoma tumors removed. No way to tell if it has metastasized. He has been given a clean bill of health for now but lumps may recur and will need to be removed if they appear. He is adoptable but will require a diligent adopter willing to take on his future care if the cells reappear. What would be the best kind of home? Loving family that will pay lots of attention to him as he deserves. He just loves people. Overall a sweet and friendly boy.
