English Mastiff : : Male
Mufasa is a 5 year old English Mastiff that has always been a loved family dog. His previous owner surrendered him when he started having medical issues that they couldn't afford. Likes: Snoozing on the couch or being next to someone. Dislikes: Doesn't want me to cut his nails. Personality: Sweet & lovable Temperament: Super calm, loves everyone Energy level: Low Favorite activities: Being with his family and meal time Good with dogs, cats and kids over 6: No problems with foster dog, curious about cats, good with children over 6 House trained: I believe he is Crate trained: He will go in the crate but he really doesn't need to be in it. Challenges: He has been known to counter surf and investigate the treasures in the garbage can. Medical issues: Enlarged prostrate that causes him to be unable to empty his bladder. He has the constant urge to urinate so he has to wear a diaper. He was recently neutered and the vet is hopeful that once the testosterone is out of his system we can get his prostrate to shrink making him able to empty his bladder like a normal dog. What would be the best kind of home: Until his prostrate/bladder issue is cleared up he would benefit from a home with someone around to let him outside frequently. He loves companionship and would be happiest to spend a lot of time with his family but he does just fine hanging out on the couch waiting for you to come home. Fostered in Erie, PA.
