Margo is a shy girl who came to us from a pupply mill in Ohio. Margo loves people that are calm, quiet and sweet talk her; you know when you’ve won her over because her wagging tail gives it away. Margo requires spay before adoption Likes: A full toy box of durable chew toys, lounging where her people are, belly rubs, and long potty walks with a dog biscuit as a reward Dislikes: Loud noises, other dogs who play rough, and fast approaching people Personality: Shy, friendly, sometimes silly, curious, gentle and sweet Temperament: takes biscuits very gently, doesn’t mind having her paws wiped or handled, good on car rides, not food aggressive, cat curious, hoards toys because she never had them! Energy level: LOW level- think couch potato. Requires coaxing to go outside but once out walking she will spend time exploring and observing. Favorite Activities: Looking out windows, sleeping where her people are, cat watching, chewing toys Good with cats, dogs that are gentle and slow to approach, and kids over 6 Not good with: Standing men in hats, fast approaching people, other dogs who play rough Housetrained: Yes- She should be monitored because she rarely goes to the door on her own. She will easily go out to potty on a walk with prompting Crate trained: unknown Challenges: She prefers female people. Gentle and quiet coaxing is required to go outside. If frightened she will pee a little. She is very frightened of quick approaching people. She requires a safe space to call her own. She is good on a leash but will require more work. Medical issues: none The best home for Margo would be a quiet one where she isn’t left alone for long periods. A calm canine sibling could benefit her to show her the ropes. Margo is currently being fostered in McDonald, PA. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our funds are used for rescuing the dogs.
