English Mastiff : : Male
Brief description: Ernie came to us after spending his entire life in a basement. He was starved along with his other littermates. Living in a home is a whole new world that he is adjusting to. Likes: there is nothing he enjoys more than cuddling with her person! Dislikes: being alone in the crate Personality : playful and loving Temperament: Ernie allows his nails to be clipped, his ears to be cleaned, but is not a fan of being bathed Energy level: low, he is mostly a couch potato Favorite activities : cuddling as close as can be with his person Good with cats, dogs, and kids over 6?: Ernie has growled at cats in the past but is currently living with four and doing fine, he likes dogs of all sizes and kids over 6 Housetrained: Working on it Crate trained: Ernie cries in the crate at first but his foster is working with him on this Challenges: Due to being locked away and starved, Ernie is scared to be alone. His foster is working with him on realizing he will always have food and his people will always come back for him. He needs a patient adopter who won't get frustrated as he adjusts to their home. He also needs to get used to a leash as wearing a leash and collar is a new experience for him. Any Medical issues? None known What would be the best kind of home?
Ernie would love a home where people are home most of the time. He spent six months of his life with no attention and we feel he deserves better. He has so much love to give and would love to give it all day to his people. His ideal home would be with a stay at home parent or a work from home parent so he has someone to be with most of the time. Fostered in DeGraff, OH

This means that if/when your application is approved to adopt, you sign a contract stating you are fostering the puppy until the time it is neutered/spayed at your expense. Giant breed puppies should be not be spayed/neutered before 12 months of age.
