About Walter

Likes: Dogs, cats, kids, and PEOPLE!!

Dislikes: Being left alone he knows you’re around, and being blow dried by the groomer

Personality: Walter is a very happy boy. He’s a good listener and a better cuddler

Temperament: Walter is a very gentle tolerant pup. He was very tolerant of the groomer and having his nail trimmed. He’s very patient and loving to other dogs and cats as well. 

Energy level: Walter has pretty average energy. He likes to go outside and play, or, play tug in the house, but, he’s just as happy to cuddle if that’s your plan. 

Favorite activities: Getting wet, playing tug, and napping

Good with dogs, cats, kids over 6?: Walter loves everyone but the vacuum!

Not good with: 

Housetrained: About 98%. But he’s just a puppy. 

Crate trained: Yes, Walter does well in his crate. 

Medical Issues: None

What would be the best kind of home? A social on with lots of friends for Walter.

Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our funds are used for rescuing the dogs.

Our rescue policy requires the following:

  • Adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina.
  • Applications for giant breed dogs must be submitted by the property owner.
  • Homes with children under 6 years of age will not be approved for adoption.
  • Homes with children should have a fenced yard.
  • Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. Veterinary records will be checked.
  • All references must be checked before any visitation of the dog is permitted at the foster home.
  • All family members must be present during the home visit to the applicant's home.
  • Any dog(s) in the applicant's home must have an introductory meeting with the rescue dog being considered, before any adoption can be completed.
