****SPECIAL NEEDS: DOBBY IS COMPLETELY DEAF** Dobby is an amazing pup that will be a perfect family dog. Hes 1 year young and still getting his bearings. He is a typical Dane, all legs and very clumsy! Likes: Kong wubbas, and having lots of toys to toss around, running around the back yard Dislikes: when he first gets into the kennel or when you dont give him food Personality: Dobby is just a goof ball. He is very loving and loves getting attention and rubs as well as cuddling with all of us. Temperament: Dobby has a outgoing temperament. He shows so much desire to play with anyone and everything. He doesn't know his size yet but he does know when not to jump on smaller animals/kids. Energy level: Dobby has a high energy level like any other puppy. He is excited all the time and is constantly go go go. Until, he falls asleep, he sleeps HARD because he is deaf nothing wakes him up. Favorite activities: throwing around toys to himself, cuddling, and running in the backyard Good with: other dogs and kids Not good with: potentially cats, if they dont like having a dog in their face. He doesn't chase, but he clearly wants to play with them Challenges: Training is Dobbys main challenge. Because he is deaf, it is difficult to correct negative behavior. We are working on it. He tends to jump when he is greeting people, but not continuously. He also tends to beg for human food because everything is at his level, but he is getting better! Any Medical issues? Yes- Dobby is completely deaf What would be the best kind of home? Dobby would do well in a home with another dog to keep him company and play with. Someone with training experience, or experience with hearing impaired dogs. He will require a home with a fenced in backyard. Fostered in Cherry Hill, NJ.
