Trick is an energetic pup who would make a wonderful addition to any family. She is loving, kind and gentle. Is is also very smart and learns extremely fast. She is in the process of being house trained and she loves to hang out in her crate. She sleeps through the night and is not destructive when left alone in the house. She loves belly rubs, toys and loves to cuddle up on the lap. She would lick you with puppy love and then nestle into you. When outside she loves to dig holes and hide toys. There is nothing that this pup dislikes yet, she was scared of the vacuum, then curious, now just ignores it. She has a curious personality, she loves to explore the indoors and outdoors. Prefers the outdoors. Enjoys chasing balls, sticks and toys. She does everything loving and gently (with the kids). Has a very expressive face and just uses it to melt your heart. She learns really fast and is treat motivated. She is very intelligent, you can see the wheels turning in her head when you are trying to teach her something. Temperament wise she is relaxed, lets you carry her and pet her. Does not mind you cleaning the ears or checking between toes and will sit still when you need her to. Energy level: Loves to run, walks well on the leash and has puppy energy. She is sometimes hyper and then just chills. Her favorite activities are playing fetch, walks, playing with other dogs, or just chews a bone. Good with: Does very well with kids, prefers men. Housetrained: In the process of. Crate trained: We keep the crate door open and she goes in when she wants to. Takes a toy and just relaxes in her crate. Challenges: House training. But she is just a puppy and she will get it soon. She is very smart. Any Medical issues? None so far Trick will do well in a house that has kids who can run and play with her, someone who can stay at home to take her out every 2-3 hours so she can release herself outside. Puppy Adoption Policy: To ensure proper house training and socialization, puppies will only be adopted to homes where an adult will not be away more than an hour per day, per month of age of the puppy, up to 6 months.
Puppies will be adopted out on a 'Foster to Adopt' basis. This means that if/when your application is approved to adopt, you sign a contract stating you are fostering the puppy until the time it is neutered/spayed at your expense. Giant breed puppies should be not be spayed/neutered before 12 months of age. All non-giant breed puppies must be spayed/neutered by the age of 6 months, unless otherwise recommended by your veterinarian. We will amend the Foster-to-Adopt contract to make the puppy legally yours, only when we receive a spay/neuter certificate from you or your veterinarian. If the puppy is not spayed/neutered as required, we will take possession of the puppy once again. Approved adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina and Kentucky. You must be at least 21 years of age to apply and legally sign our contract for adoption. Applications must be completed by the homeowner. We do not adopt giant breed dogs to renters. If you are renting, and you are applying to adopt a dog that is not a giant breed, permission to adopt an animal must be obtained from the landlord or property owner. We do not adopt giant breed dogs to homes with children under 6 years of age. Homes with children should have a fenced yard. Applications will be denied if anyone residing in the household has a record indicating drug/alcohol abuse, theft, or violence. Homes with highly varnished floors must have non-slip area rugs or mats wherever your animal walks or rests frequently.
