UPDATE: Happy New Year. Panzer and I have made so much progress. It will be a great year for us since we are in a foster home. Panzer and I found out people are great. We follow our foster mom everywhere...she says we look like a parade. We are losing some wt and taking lots of short walks every day. When she comes home we bark and wag our butts and do little dances. Our foster mom can't believe how fast we have improved. We are getting great treats and doing well with house training. When she gets our dog dishes to feed us we bark at her to hurry up ! We love the other dogs but we stick together and even sleep beside each other. We love to sit on the couch with everyone. Our foster mom says we need a home where we get lots of attention and love. (see our story below ) Meet our little tank of a Pug, Sherman! My name is Sherman and I am 6 yrs old. Panzer and I were in a puppy mill for breeding. I didn't have a name...only a number...how sad. I wasn't out playing in the grass or in a warm home with someone to love me....just kept in a cage for breeding with no attention paid to me. We are now in a foster home and it's warm and I get to go in and out as I please. I am a typical friendly but still a bit shy and scared pug. I was running from people but am learning to trust them now. I especially love getting my chest and head rubbed. I am learning housetraining and doing very well but I do have accidents. I get along with other dogs! We were checked out at the vets, neutered and had dentals done. We did lose some teeth so we get a mix of soft food and dry food. We didn't get fed very good food or have vet care. I did go the vets again and the vet said I have an enlarged soft palate so I will always make more noise with breathing than most Pugs. This is from an infection that wasn't treated. I am on an antibiotic and steroid to treat the infection. I also have ulcerations of my eyes that is also from infections not being treated. This is chronic and I am receiving over the counter eye drops at night. All of the problems are from not having vet care but they are all chronic. Our foster mom said we are built like little tanks so she named us after them. It's nice to have a name, a soft bed and someone to give us attention. We have not had a good life but things are looking up for us. Will you please be the one to step forward and give me the love I know I can return with time and patience. Will you? Please?
