Bear is a St. Bernard/Mastiff mix.  He is 21 months old.  Weight 125 lbs.  He is neutered, chipped, has had all of his shots and is house trained.   He walks nicely on leash.

He is good with people and older kids, but would not be appropriate for a family with small children. His size and energy is too much for very young kids.  He likes other dogs and would love to be in a house with another dog.  He wants to chase cats so should probably not be placed in a home with cats.

Bear is a loyal dog who likes to be around people and another dog.  Although he is still an adolescent and needs some exercise, he is otherwise content to lay around the house, particularly if someone is around to keep him company.  Bear will follow you from room to room and then lay down.  He is a smart dog and will do anything for a treat -- sit, lay down, stay, come, go to his bed.  Typical of his breeds, he is not very interested in fetch, except when it might involve a treat.  He also gets very lazy in hot weather.  He loves to play with other dogs, but will not be a good candidate for a crowded dog park until he develops more confidence.
