What an absolute lover of people Mattie is! She adores everyone she meets (even the vet!). Mattie does well with large male dogs and has quickly learned respect for our dog-savvy cat. Mattie does not, however, get along with female dogs. Mattie would do well placed with an active family as she loves nothing more than a good run and game of chase the ball. Mattie is housebroken, crate trained and knows a few commands. We’re currently working with her on her not jumping up on people and a few other manners (she loves to stick close to and please her people). Mattie is currently being treated for non-contagious demodex mange and is showing remarkable improvement. Though her current fosters have no children, Mattie has previously lived with children, however, we recommend that she be placed in a home with children age 8+ as Mattie’s enthusiasm may be a little too much for younger children.
P Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our funds are used for vetting the dogs. Our rescue policy requires the following: *All references must be checked before any visitation of the dog is permitted at the foster home. *A visit to the applicant's home when all members are present. *Homes with small children must have a fenced yard. *Any dog(s) in the applicant's home must have an introductory meeting with the rescue dog being applied for before any adoption can be completed.
