Fostered in Chesapeake VA.  Griffin is a standard schnauzer/husky mix (supposedly called a schusky) according to the veterinarian who recently treated him.  He weighs about 50 pounds and is said to be around 4 years old.

Griffin is full of energy and is happiest when he is able to run and play. It is a true joy to watch him take off when we let him out in a fenced in area.  He goes full speed from one end of the yard to the other, back and forth, stopping only if he thinks he hears another dog.

He loves toys, especially something he can chew on, such as a huge bone, or a nylon bone.  He loves long walks, but gets a bit frustrated because in his mind everyone we pass, be it human or dog, is supposed to come meet and play with him.  This, of course, does not always happen and he truly does not understand why.

In the house, he does very well.  He has not had any accidents, except one the first day he was here.  He takes care of all of his business outside.  He knows the commands sit, stay, heel, down (lay down), off, no, give me five and most likely others we have not discovered yet.  He goes through the commands very well, but does need some reinforcement.
